• He continued his research on trypanosomiasis in Africa as FAO Andre Mayer Research Fellow @ EATRO (East African Trypanosomiasis Research Organization, Uganda) and @ SRI (Serengeti Research Institute, Tanzania). Patrick initiated and established The Roy C. Anderson Memorial Lecture in Parasitology in 2001 @ UoG; and he has been managing the lecture series since its inception.ersity of Guelph (UoG).

• His Current work has focussed on imaging the middle ear, the use of CT in defining incomplete ossification of the humeral condyle in the dog and spinal abnormalities in farmed salmon.

• He is chief of Department of Animal Science and Food Control (Scienze Zootecniche e Ispezione degli alimenti) since 2008.He is serving as an editorial board member of the international journal “Italian Journal of Animal Science. He is a member of Animal Science and Production Association (ASPA), Italian Society of Veterinary Science (SISVET), Poultry Italian Scientific Association, Rabbit Italian Scientific Association. He is author of more than 160 scientific papers and communications resulted from his research activity published on international scientific journals and presented at international and national congresses.

• He is a Business Fellow for the London Technology Network. He is the organiser of the courses Introduction to Environmental Pollution, Measuring Contamination, Marine Pollution and Impacts.

• His main research subjects– Bio–defense mechanisms in marine bivalve molluscs, Measurement for physiological activities in marine bivalve molluscs,Accumulation/exclusion mechanisms of norovirus in oysters.He is the member of Japan Aquaculture Society.

• He is an editorial member of Acta Histochemica and he acts as a regular reviewer for several reputed journals like BMC Molecular Biology, BMC Genomics, Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology and Aquaculture Research. He has authored 24 peer–reviewed research articles in international journal (328 citations, h–index 10) and one book chapter. He is a member of the American Physiological Society and of the European Aquaculture Society. In 2008 he was awarded the "Outstanding Young Investigator" grant within the aquaculture programme from the Research Council of Norway.

• He has published more than 30 research articles and has been the reviewer of 10 journals.
• He is a member of The Japanese Society of Fisheries Science and Japanese Society for Marine Biotechinology.

• He is serving as an editorial member of several journals such as the Journal of Aquaculture Feed Science and Nutrition and International Aquafeed. He has authored over 20 articles including original research papers and review articles in reputable journals such as Aquaculture, Aquaculture Nutrition, Aquaculture Research, the Journal of Fish Diseases, the Journal of Animal Science and the Journal of Applied Microbiology. He is a member of the World Aquaculture Society, the Society for Applied Microbiology and the Food, Nutrition and Health Research Group (UoP).

• He has authored about 60 papers on international journals and 5 book chapters. He his member of the International Society of Developmental and Comparative Immunology (ISDCI), of the European Society for Marine Biotecnology (ESMB) and of the Fisheries Society of the British Isles.

• He has developed microarrays to examine global gene expression in salmon and trout and has also used proteomics to examine differential protein expression in both nutritional experiments in trout and salmon. Sam is a member of the Scottish Fish Immunology Research Centre based in IBES which is a world leading fish immunology group. Sam has published over 45 papers in peer reviewed journals and has funds his from EU, BBSRC, NERC and industrial collaborations.

• She has 22 peer– reviewed publications of which 17 are on ISA. She is a member of the American Society for Virology and the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association.
