Invitation:Special issues of Cancer Science & Therapy

We would like to invite you to contribute a review or a full research paper for publication in the Special Issue of
Cancer Science & Therapy (JCST). These special issue articles will be fully Open Access.

In case you wish to send a contribution for this special issue, Instructions for submission can be found at
http://www.editorialmanager.com/cancerscience/

JCST is an Open Access broad-based journal. It was founded on two key tenets: 1) to publish the most exciting research with respect to the subjects of Cancer Science & Therapy and 2) to provide a rapid turn-around time regarding reviewing and publishing, and to disseminate the articles freely for research, teaching and reference purposes.

JCST strongly supports the Open Access initiative. Abstracts and full texts (HTML, PDF, XML format Digital Article and Audio Version) of all articles published by JCST are freely accessible to everyone immediately after publication. JCST-Open Access gives a worldwide audience, larger than that of any subscription-based journal, barrier-free access to research on Cancer Science & Therapy . Furthermore, JCST offers increased convenience, reach, and retrieval power, thus improving the visibility and impact of its published work. JCST- Open Access eliminates the need for permissions to reproduce and distribute content, which increases the availability of these key resources. JCST and OMICS Publishing Group are ardent about Open Access and strongly believe that removing barriers to accessing research published online will greatly aid to the progress of research within scientific and technical disciplines.

All published articles will be assigned DOI provided by CrossRef and will be indexed by various services. All published articles are deposited in DOAJ, EBSCO, INDEX COPERNICUS, Scientific Commons and Google Scholar. Partial published articles are deposited in PubMed. Published articles will be archived online by the OMICS Publishing Group providing the international scientific community with permanent access to individual papers. Please, visit our website for further information regarding indexing and archiving (http://www.omicsonline.org/indexingjcst.php).

All works published by OMICS Publishing Group are under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License. This permits anyone to copy, distribute, transmit and adapt the work, provided the original work and source is appropriately cited. JCST supports the Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing.

In case you need any further information, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you very much in advance for your kind support and co-operation.

We are looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards,

Editors

Rajendra Sharma was a Research fellow, Rajasthan University, Jaipur, India (1975-1979). Synthesized 3,4:6,7-dibenzomorphans, the compounds related to 6,7- benzomorphans (potent analgesics). Evaluated pharmacological efficacy of substituted 3,4:6,7-dibenzomorphans Research Associate, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (1980-1981) Investigated the energetics of radiation induced DNA damage and its repair mechanisms in normal and cancer cells. Identified relationship between DNA repair and the rate of cellular energy supply. Post-doctoral fellow (1989-1991) Purified and characterized a novel membrane transport protein DNP-SG ATPase from human erythrocytes. Established involvement of DNP-SG ATPase in the transport of glutathione conjugates of electrophilic compounds in humantissues. Showed the expression of DNP-SG ATPase in different human tissues. Purified and characterized glutathione S-transferases from mammalian tissues. Suptdg. Chemist at KDMIPE, Dehradun, India ( April 1991- March 2000)Analyzed pollutants from the surrounding areas of oilfields of Indian sedimentary basins.Investigated the toxic impact of petroleum hydrocarbons on human tissues.Visiting Scientist at UTMB, Galveston, TX (April 2000-Sept. 2003) Stably transfected cultured cells (HLE B-3) with human glutathione S-transferase A4 gene and demonstrated role of 4-hydroxynonenal in cell cycle and apoptotic signaling.Purified and characterized recombinant human RLIP76 a non-ABC transport protein and demonstrated a major role of RLIP76 in the ATP-dependent transport of glutathione-conjugates and chemotherapeutic agents in human erythrocytes and cultured cells.Suptdg, Chemist at KDMIPE, Dehradun, India ( Oct 2003- Aug.2005): Team leader- Project entitled “DNA finger printing technique in oil exploration”.

Gary Guishan Xiao is a Director of the Functional Genomics and Proteomics laboratories at the Creighton University Osteoporosis Research Center, is an internationally recognized expert in the field of proteomics and metabolomics of cancers and bone disease. Dr. Xiao earns his Ph.D. in molecular computational biology about a dozen years ago, focusing on structural modeling of ligand-enzyme interaction and prediction of protein refolding pathways during protein translational process. Dr. Xiao had his postdoctoral research trained in Baylor College of Medicine and UCLA, focusing on pharmacokinetics and biochemistry of non-steroid inflammatory drugs such as aspirin-derivatives and their target, human prostaglandin H synthases H1 and H2, and cell cycle regulation, especially, the role of c-Myc in cardiac termination differentiation. Dr. Xiao’s research at harbor UCLA medical Center and City of Hope National Cancer Center were highly focused on genomic and proteomic interpretations of diet-induced obesity/diabetes and its complications such cancers and osteoporosis. Dr. Xiao joined Osteoporosis Research Center at the Creighton University Medical Center since 2007. Dr. Xiao has been regular reviewer or ad hoc reviewer for several medial journals, different funding agency such as NIH and several journal Editorial Board members.

Harvey I. Pass is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the Johns Hopkins University and Duke Medical School. After completing his cardiothoracic training at the Medical University of South Carolina and a year as a cardiac surgery attending physician, he devoted his career to treating thoracic malignancies including lung cancer, pulmonary metastases, esophageal cancer, and mesothelioma. Dr. Pass completed a 3-year senior fellowship in the Thoracic Oncology Surgical Branch of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). There, he was mentored by Dr. Jack Roth and Dr. Steven Rosenberg in developing novel clinical trials from laboratory investigations. Dr. Pass was appointed Head of Thoracic Oncology for NCI in 1986, and held this position for ten years.
