Biography : Dr. Jianye Ge ,Department of Forensics and Investigative Genetics at University of North Texas Health Science Center. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in computer science from Nankai University, China, and a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of Cincinnati in 2009. His research relates primarily to forensic genetics, bioinformatics, and data mining, such as developing algorithms and interpretation guidelines for forensic genetics applications. He has published about 30 peer-reviewed papers (most in the top journals in relevant fields) and several book chapters. He has been invited as editorial board members of two scientific journals. The software programs he developed have been used by multiple Federal and State government agencies. He regularly gives lectures and invited talks in conferences and training workshops to graduate students, colleagues, and professionals.

Biography : Dr. Mehta received his MD degree in India and PhD in Sweden, and completed his post-graduate education in New York and Minnesota. He joined the faculty of the college of medicine of the University of Florida where he rose to be University Research Foundation professor.He moved to Little Rock in 2000 as the first Stebbins Chair in Cardiology and Professor of Medicine and Physiology and Biophysics to lead the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at UAMS and VA hospitals with over 100 physicians, graduate and post-graduate students and staff. Dr. Mehta serves on the editorial board of several major cardiology, physiology and pharmacology journals, including Circulation, Hypertension, American Journal of Cardiology, European Heart Journal, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and the World Journal of Cardiology. He has published over 1000 papers, abstracts and book chapters. Biography : Igor K. Lednev is an associate professor at the University at Albany, State University of New York. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Russian Federation, receiving his Ph.D. degree in 1983. Then Dr. Lednev worked at the Institute of Chemical Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences, as a group leader. Dr. Lednev joined the University at Albany in 2002. As an academic visitor, he worked in several leading laboratories around the world including the United Kingdom, Japan, Canada and Germany. Dr. Lednev’s research is focused on the development and application of novel laser spectroscopy for biomedical and forensic applications. Dr. Lednev is a recipient of the Research Innovation Award. Biography : Rick Wyant received his Master’s Degree in 1994, has been forensic scientist since 1995 and a reserve deputy since 2000. He currently supervises the forensic firearms unit at the Seattle crime laboratory and is court qualified in firearm/tool identification, crime scene analysis, less-lethal devices, and trajectory reconstruction. He has been analyzing evidence related to Electronic Control Devices (ECD) and Less Lethal impact munitions since 2001 and is one of the founding members of CRT LL. Rick and CRT LL have taught these protocols to police agencies, scientists, students and attorneys all over the US and abroad including the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands and Canada.
