From 2001 to 2008 he worked in the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX as a Research Assistant Professor, and (from 2006) as a Research Associate Professor. Currently he held a position of Associate Research Scientist in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science, University of California San Diego.

Biography
 Research Interest :

Dr. Davydov studies the mechanisms of function and regulation of the membrane-bound system of microsomal monooxygenase. His research is focussed on the mechanisms of protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions in cytochromes P450, with an emphasis on the dynamics of protein hydration in ligand-induced conformational transitions. The area of his expertise includes mechanistic enzymology of membrane-bound multienzyme systems and allosteric emzymes, kinetics and thermodynamics of protein-protein interactions and inter-protein electron transfer, fluorescence-based techniques applied to protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions, as well as the effect of high hydrostatic pressures on proteins and the use of pressure-perturbation approach in enzymology.

Ravi Radhakrishnan
Department of Chemical Physics
University of Pennsylvania
Philadelphia
USA

 Biography :

Ravi Radhakrishnan (Associate Professor) obtained his PhD in chemical physics from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Cornell University in 2001. After two postdoctoral assignments in chemical physics and biophysics at MIT and NYU/HHMI, he joined the University of Pennsylvania faculty in 2005.  Dr. Radhakrishnan has appointments in the Departments of Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, and Biochemistry and Biophysics. His laboratory is involved in developing modeling and simulation protocols using principles from applied mathematics, chemical physics, and molecular biophysics in order to predict single molecule properties as well as signal transduction mechanisms related to cancers. Ongoing projects in Dr. Radhakrishnan’s lab include finding a molecular basis for DNA repair and replication in oxidatively damaged DNA, searching for new paradigms in drug resistance in cancer therapeutics, and optimizing drug delivery protocols by a rational design of microcarriers. His laboratory is currently funded by US National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health. Dr. Radhakrishnan is the recipient of the Hewlett Packard Young Investigator award and servers on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Biomedical Science and Bioengineering.
