Dr. Michal Kramer has received her MD from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem during the period of 1978-1985. She did her residency in Ophthalmology at Rabin medical Center in Israel, a research fellowship in Retina at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear infirmary in Boston, and a clinical fellowship in Uveitis at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Currently, she is working as the head of the Uveitis Service in the department of Ophthalmology at Rabin Medical Center in Israel. She is a Lecturer in Sackler Medical School, Tel Aviv University, Israel. She has authored 33 articles and 2 book chapters. She is a member of the International Ocular Inflammation Society (IOIS) and the American Uveitis Society (AUS).

She has received a M.D. degree from State University of Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1989-1994 and completed a residence in Ophthalmology (1995-1996) and a fellowship in Cornea (1997).
She joined the Ocular Surface Center in 2002 as a post-doctoral fellow and she has been extremely productive since then, having published 44 articles in top line journals. During her post-doctoral fellowship, she received several travel awards to present her research findings at scientific meetings and training awards from Fight for Sight and NEI. After being appointed as an assistant professor, she received a grant-in-aid award from Fight for Sight and recently an R-21 award from NEI.
She has served as a reviewer of journals such as IOVS, EER, Archives of Ophthalmology.

Line Kesselis a Senior Scientist at the Department of Ophthalmology, Glostrup Hospital, Denmark.

Dr. Zaher Sbeity was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at New York Medical College in April 2008.  Currently, he is working as Chief of Glaucoma/ Anterior Eye Segment Service at Department of Ophthalmology, Evangelic Hospital Mülheim/Ruhr, and University of Düsseldorf, Germany. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities and was the Director of Glaucoma Research at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary till June 2009. He has authored and reviewed multiple research articles. He is a member of American and German Glaucoma Societies, the AAO and ARVO. He was granted a research award from the American Glaucoma Society in 2009.

Dr. Abcouwer’s experience provides a broad knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, and physiology. Dr. Abcouwer was trained as a Chemical Engineer, earning both B.S. (University of Missouri-Columbia, magna cum laude with honors) and Ph.D. (University of Houston) degrees in ChemE, and specializing in Biochemical Engineering and  Biotechnology. While enjoying the application of chemistry and classical physics that is chemical engineering, he became increasingly interested in the study of biochemisty, cellular and molecular biology and physiology. He completed thesis work on human cell immortalization with viral oncogenes, cell line development, and therapeutic protein expression. He did postdoctoral training (Monsanto Heath Sciences) in tumor biology studying therapeutic intervention of cancer cell adhesion and motility, as well as tumor invasion and metastasis using nude and SCID mouse xenographic tumor models.
