Ahmad R. Safa is H.H. Gregg Professor of Cancer Research and Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Indiana University School of Medicine. He received a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Iowa State University. He has been serving as an editorial board member of Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, Journal of Cell Death, and International Journal of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as well as reviewer of more than 30 journals. He has published 112 publications.

Dr. Johnson is an Adjunct Professor at UC Berkeley, Department of Nutritional Science and Toxicology where he teaches “Computational Toxicology” and “Principles of Drug Action” and mentors students in the undergraduate and graduate science fields. He is also President & CEO of Emiliem, Inc. a privately held biopharmaceutical company developing molecular targeted therapies and molecular diagnostics. Dr. Johnson has over 30 years experience as a research and development scientist, manager, executive, and entrepreneur in the biopharmaceutical field working in large pharmaceutical and biotech companies and several start-ups. Most recently he was Vice President of Drug Assessment and Development at Chiron Corp. and previously Vice President of Preclinical Development. Dr. Johnson has been directly involved in the advancement of over 100 compounds from discovery into clinical development of which fifteen have become marketed health care medicinal products and vaccines in the US, Canada, Europe, and Japan. Dr. Johnson is also noted for his work in predictive toxicology using various innovative technologies and computational methodology.

Stelvio M. Bandiera is a Professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of British Columbia, Canada. Dr. Bandiera received a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo (1974), a M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry from Dalhousie University (1978) and a Ph.D. degree in Biological Chemistry from the University of Guelph (1982). He completed postdoctoral training at the Roche Institute of Molecular Biology, NJ (1983-1986). Dr. Bandiera’s academic responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising graduate students and conducting research. He serves on the editorial advisory boards of 4 journals and serves as a reviewer for numerous journals and grant agencies. He published 80 scientific papers in refereed journals and 10 book chapters.

Dr. Nan Mei is a Senior Research Biologist in the Division of Genetic and Molecular Toxicology at the U. S. FDA’s National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR). He received his M.D. in 1984 from Hebei Medical University, China and earned his Ph.D. degree in 1997 at the University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan. He has published 58 peer-reviewed research articles in prestigious journals, including The FASEB Journal, Nature Biotechnology, Journal of Biological Chemistry, British Journal of Cancer, Cancer Letters, Toxicological Sciences, Toxicology in Vitro, Chemical Research in Toxicology, Mutation Research, Environmental and Molecular Mutagenesis, and BMC Bioinformatics. He was author of 7 book chapters. He is a member of the Society of Toxicology and the Environmental Mutagen Society. He served as a reviewer of many peer-reviewed journals in the area of genetic toxicology and toxicogenomics. He received many awards including the 2007 FDA Scientific Achievement Award.

Eric Blomme, D.V.M., Ph.D., D.A.C.V.P. is Senior Project Leader of Investigative Toxicology and Pathology in Global Pharmaceutical Research and Development at Abbott Laboratories, Abbott Park, IL, USA. He has received his D.V.M. from The University of Lyon (France), completed a residency in Veterinary Pathology at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY (USA) and earned a PhD from Ohio State University, Columbus, OH (USA). He is Scientific Editor and member of the Editorial Board of multiple journals and serves as referee for multiple journal in the field of toxicology, drug metabolism, pathology, genomics, pharmacogenomics and drug discovery. His publication record includes over 60 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters, a book on genomics in drug discovery, and numerous abstracts and presentations.

Eric T. Williams is a Research Investigator at Eisai Incorporated in Andover, Massachusetts. His postdoctoral fellowship was with Steven A. Wrighton and Everett J.Perkins at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, Indiana. He earned a Ph.D. in Toxicology in 2006 under the tutelage of Henry W.Strobel at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. He completed a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, in 1999. He received the Spotlight Award while at Eli Lilly and Company in 2008. He is serving as a reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology.
