Rutledge Ellis-Behnke is Professor at the University of Heidelberg Mannheim Faculty of Medicine where he is the Director of the Nanomedicine Translational Think Tank. In addition he is Research Affiliate in the Brain and Cognitive Sciences department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Previously he was Associate Director of the Technology Transfer Office and Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong. He received his PhD from MIT in Neuroscience BSci from Rutgers University and graduated from Harvard Business School’s International Senior Manager’s Program AMP/ISMP Prior to returning to school to pursue his PhD Ellis-Behnke held various management positions including Senior Vice President of Huntingdon a public company for testing and consulting services and Cofounder/CEO in 1995 of one of the first internet companies to do online commerce. He is Associate Editor/Neurology for the journal Nanomedicine: Nanotechnology Biology and Medicine; member of both the Executive and Scientific Advisory Boards for the Glaucoma Foundation; member of the Executive Board of the Asia Foundation for Cancer Research; member of the China Spinal Cord Clinical Trial Network Society for Neuroscience American Chemical Society Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and Sigma Xi the scientific research society Technology Review named his “Nanohealing” discoveries one of the “Top 10 Emerging Technologies of 2007” His “Nano Neuro Knitting” and “Immediate Hemostasis” technologies have each been licensed for translation to humans In addition to his work in neuroscience and nanomedicine EllisBehnke introduced the Tablet PC to MIT and the University of Hong Kong as part of the migration to the paperless classroom to deliver all course material and texts to the students digitally.

He obtained his BS honors and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering Chonbuk National University South Korea and a Post Doctorate Fellow at Nano Institute University of Cincinnati Ohio. He did PhD in Mechanical Engineering from University of Cincinnati at Ohio Post Doctorate Fellow at Nano Institute University of Cincinnati Ohio. Prof Michele Caraglia Currently is working as Associate Professor in Biohemistry at the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Second University of Naples. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Current Cancer Drug Targets Cancer Biology and Therapy International Journal of Oncology Cell Biology International Recent Patents on Anticancer Drug Discovery. He is author of 2 international patents and is a member of American Association for Cancer Research and is in the Managing Board of the Italian Association for Cell Cultures AICC.

Weibo Cai received his BS degree from Nanjing University PR China in 1995 and a PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of California at San Diego in 2004. After three years of postdoctoral training at the Molecular Imaging Program at Stanford University he joined the University of Wisconsin Madison as a Biomedical Engineering Cluster Hire in February 2008. Dr. Cai is currently an Assistant Professor with joint appointment in the departments of Radiology and Medical Physic Dr. Cai has authored more than 60 peerreviewed articles 7 book chapters more than 60 conference abstracts and guestedited several specialtopic issues for various scientific journals. He has won many awards over the years including the Society of Nuclear Medicine Young Professionals Committee Best Basic Science Award in 2007. Professor Nikolaos Labrou received his BSc degree in Chemistry with honors top 1 from the University of Patras Greece 1987-1991 and his PhD in Enzyme Biotechnology from the Agricultural University of Athens Greece in 1992-1996. He has conducted postdoctoral research in Leeds UK 1996-1998 and at Agricultural University of Athens 1998-2001 Dr Labrou started his career as Assistant Professor at the Agricultural University of Athens 2002-2007. He is currently Associate Professor at the Agricultural University of Athens Department of Biotechnology. His research takes place where molecular enzymology chemistry and nanobiotechnology meet Within thelast 15 years Dr. Labrou published over 75 research articles in leading international journals 15 book chapters and established a strong global academic and industrial network. He is actively involved in many collaborations worldwide is on the Editorial Boards of a number of academic journals and is reviewer for more than 30 journals. He sits on a number of grant awarding and government committees and serves as reviewer for multiple national and international grant agencies.

Dr. Rastogi finished his Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He also has a doctoral degree in Pharmacology which he completed under the mentorship of Nobel Laureate Louis Ignarro also at UCLA. His dissertation was on the role of nitric oxide in inflammation and various factors modulating high output nitric oxide production. Dr. Rastogi is the Director of the UCLA Dialysis Program. He oversees the clinical operations of the dialysis unit including many clinical studies. He also oversees the Multidisciplinary Chronic Kidney Disease Program at UCLA Dr Rastogi has also been deeply involved in medical education and is the Codirector of the Nephrology Fellowship Training Program and is also actively involved in Clinical Pharmacology.

Yashveer Singh is an Assistant Research Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutics Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy Rutgers University. He received his PhD Chemistry under Prof Krishna Misra at the University of Allahabad India and didpostdoctoral studies with Profs Santanu Bhattacharya at the Indian Institute of ScienceBangalore India; Eric Defrancq and Pascal Dumy at the Joseph Fourier UniversityGrenoble France; and Patrick J Sinko at the Rutgers University New Brunswick USA. He has worked extensively on the development of synthetic strategies for oligonucleotide conjugates and ratiometric fluorescence sensors. He has published twentytwo research articles/reviews in peerreviewed journals two book chapters and two patents. He has presented thirtyone papers in conferences and is an Assistant Editor for the textbook: “Martins Physical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Sixth Edition” He also serves as reviewer for various scientific journals and meetings.

Stephen J Beebe received a BS in Zoology from Ohio University Athens 1970 and a PhD 1982 in medical sciences pharmacologyand biochemistry from the Medical College of Ohio Toledo. He did postdoctoral studies 1982–1987 in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics at the Howard Hughes Medical InstituteVanderbilt Nashville Tenn before serving as a Fulbright Scholar and Norwegian Marshall Scholar in Institute for Medical Biochemistry 300 S J Beebe and K H Schoenbach 2005:4 2005 and the National Hospital in Oslo Norway 1987–1988. Dr. Beebe has received various honors including Outstanding Senior Visiting Scientist from the Norwegian Cancer Society while in Bergen Norway 1997–1999 the Iwao Yasuda Award by the Society for Physical Regulation in Biology and Medicine and the Martin Black Award from the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine.

He obtained his BS Biology and MS degrees Organic Chemistry from Jammu University Jammu Kashmir State India and PhD 1987 from All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi India Immunology. He authored about 22 publications that inclide articles and reviews. He received All India Institute of Medical Sciences Fellowship Award India for PhD studies and Arthritis Investigator Award from Arthritis Foundation.

Dr. Igor F. Tsigelny has received his PhD in the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Currently he works as the Senior Program Project Scientist. at the University of California, San Diego. He serves as an editorinchief of the journal “Analytical Reports in International education”, as a series editor of the “Biotechnology series” of the International University Line Publishers. He has authored and edited three research books. He authored more than 180 research articles.
