Anthony (Tony) O. Adesemoye, PhD is a Scholar at the Department of Plant Pathology & Microbiology, University of California, Riverside. He has previous work experiences as Postdoctoral Research Associate, Michigan State University, Michigan; Lecturer, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, Nigeria; Program Officer, Journalists Against AIDS, Nigeria, etc. He received a PhD degree in Plant Pathology from Auburn University, AL, 2005-2009; M.Sc, Microbiology, University of Lagos, Nigeria, 2004; M.Sc, Environmental Resource Management, Lagos State University, Nigeria, 2003; and B. Tech, Microbiology, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria, 1997. He was awarded the Aboyade-Yebovi Prize of the Nigerian Institute of Management, Auburn University?s Outstanding PhD Student for 2007/2008, among others. He is an editorial board member for two reputable academic journals and reviews for four others. He?s first author in nine journal publications.

Chioma Okeoma is an Assistant Professor of Microbiology at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She is the 2008 recipient of the Andy Kaplan Prize by the Cold Spring Retrovirus Meeting. Chioma had her postdoctoral training at the Laboratory of Dr. Susan Ross of the University of Pennsylvania. From a humble beginning in Nigeria, Chioma obtained a B.Agric.Tech degree from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and a Master of Science degree from the Federal University of Agriculture, Umudike, both in Nigeria. Chioma became a scholar of the New Zealand Overseas Development Assistance (NZODA). She received her Ph.D. in Animal Science from Massey University, New Zealand. She received a medallion from the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists following publication of her studies on neosporosis in New Zealand cattle.

Tadayuki Iwase is an assistant professor, Department of Bacteriology at Jikei University School of Medicine in Japan. He is an author of publications on international journals for microbiology and plant physiology. He is a member of AAAS and AMS.

C.O. Theon is professor in Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Preventive Medicine, Iowa State University.

Xiangyang Shi, a research associate at Department of Plant Pathology and Plant-Microbe Biology at Cornell University.  He had received a PhD in Plant Pathology from University of California-Riverside, 2006. He had 13 publications in peer-reviewed journals, and is author of four books on plant disease and controlling strategy. He is a member of The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the America Phytopathological Society (APS), and America Society for Microbiology (ASM). Chunquan Zhang is an assistant scientist of Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Iowa State University, Ames, IA, USA. He has received a PhD in Molecular Plant Pathology from University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, in 2000-2005. He has completed his B.S. in Agronomy in Northeast Agricultural University, Harbin, Heilongjiang, China (1993). He has published 16 peer reviewed journal papers and served as reviewer for 2 reputed journals.

Dr. Shujian Zhang is currently working as a Research Associate at Department of Plant Pathology, University of Florida. He received a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Nanjing Agricultural University of China in 2007. In the same year he was appointed as an Instructor in the Department of Plant Pathology at Nanjing Agricultural University. He has published over 10 peer-reviewed papers and 10 abstracts or full papers in conference proceedings. Dr. Zhang’s work on citrus greening (huanglongbing) has been published in Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, and has been selected as “Editor’s Pick” by the editor-in-chief as reported on the websites of the International Society of Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions and The American Phytopathological Society. He is also serving as a reviewer for 6 international journals, such as Phytopathology, Plant Disease, Physiological and Molecular Plant Pathology and Journal of Plant Pathology. He is a member of The American Association for the Advancement of Science, the International Society for Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, International Society for Plant Pathology, The American Phytopathological Society and American Society for Microbiology.
