Premature Ejaculation (PE) is one of the utmost common sexual dysfunctions, affecting 20%-40% of sexually active men. There were many definitions of PE by different professional organizations. However, since the underlying physiopathology of PE was not well agreed, there was no universally recognized definition of PE until the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM) established the first evidence-based definition of lifelong PE in 2007
Scholarly peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before a paper describing this work is published in a journal. The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review.
