Astrobiology is that the study of the origin, evolution, distribution, and way forward for life within the universe: extraterrestrial life and life on Earth. This knowledge domain field encompasses the hunt for liveable environments in our system and liveable planets outside our system, the hunt for proof of prebiotic chemistry, laboratory and field analysis into the origins and early evolution of life on Earth, and studies of the potential for keeps to adapt to challenges on Earth and in location.
