Gerd Pluschke

Biography

Dr. Gerd Pluschke is Professor in Infection biology and immunology, University of Basel, Switzerland. He is also Head of Molecular Immunology, Swiss Tropical Institute, Basel, Switzerland. He has done PhD in 1979 from University of Tübingen, Max-Planck-Institute for Biology, Germany. He is also an Editorial Board Member of Journal of Tropical Medicine.

Infection biology focusing on host–pathogen interactions, molecular epidemiology, immunology and vaccine design
Buruli ulcer in the fields of molecular epidemiology, transmission, immunology, treatment and diagnosis
