American Chemical Society, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and Chinese Environmental Science Society. He served as a reviewer of manuscripts for scientific journals in the areas of physical chemistry, materials science and energy. In 2011 he received the New Century Excellent Talent Awards by the Ministry of Education in China

Research Interests are currently concentrated on environmental catalysis and the synthesis, utilization and characterization of new catalyst materials, Catalysis for the treatment of automobile exhaust gases and PM, Catalysis for the purification of the pollutants from stationary sources and Theoretical Calculation of Catalysis
