Biography
Dr. Sompop Bencharit has received his DDS from the Chulalongkorn University in 1994 and PhD in Oral Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) in 2003. Currently, He is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics and Department of Pharmacology, UNC. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. His research has included structural and functional analysis of cerebral cavernous malformation, salivary proteomics for diabetes. He have authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles. He/she is a member of American Crystallographic Association, American College of Prosthodontists, International Association of Dental Research, Academy of Osseointegration, and American Dental Education Association.
Research Interest
His research includes structural and functional analysis of cerebral cavernous malformation, salivary proteomics for diabetes.
