Psychological Aspects in Pancreatic Cancer

During the last decades there has been an increasing interest with regards to the evaluation of quality of life as well as mental health
issues in chronic diseases, such as chronic heart failure, end – stage renal disease and maintenance dialysis, kidney transplantation, Alzheimer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease and breast cancer. This growing interest on the part of the scholars towards mental health has
also characterized the scientific community dealing with the study of psychological aspects in patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
