Post traumatic-stress disorder is a result of exposure to traumatic events. Such events include sexual assault, warfare, serious injury, threats from imminent death. Diagnosis for it includes symptoms such as disturbing recurring flashbacks, avoidance of memories of the event, and hyperarousal and it usually continues for at least one month after the traumatic event.
