Bacteriology is the branch of microbiology, which deals with the study of bacteria. Bacteriology is the study of bacteria. This subdivision of microbiology involves the identification, classification, and characterization of bacterial species. Bacteria are microscopic organisms which have spread in the environment and are the inhabitants of soil, water as well as human bodies. They are the single celled organisms causing many harmful and lethal diseases both to animals and humans. The study of bacterial structure, shape and physiology is called as bacteriology. Most of the bacteria appear in different shapes such as oval, coccal, spiral etc.Scholarly peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before a paper describing this work is published in a journal. The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review.
