Biography

Christine Nellemann is head of the Division of Toxicology and Risk Assessment at the National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark. The Division of Toxicology and Risk Assessment works on promoting health and preventing illness by performing research, teaching and advising authorities on the human effects of chemical substances and naturally occurring compounds in our food and environment. The Division employs approximately 70 employees and offers an inspiring working environment. The research of Division of Toxicology covers many areas from reproductive toxicology, endocrine disruption, cancer, nanotoxicology, risk-benefit evaluations, food allergy and QSAR. The researchers use human samples, animals as well as cellular and computer models in order to predict the effects of chemicals in humans.
