Psychopathology

 Psychopathology is a term which refers to either the study of mental illness  or mental distress or the manifestation of behaviours and experiences which may be indicative of mental illness or psychological impairment. Psychiatrists in particular are interested in descriptive psychopathology, which has the aim of describing the symptoms and syndromes of mental illness.

 

 

Psychopathology is the study of  all stages of mental disorders  and their treatment .These include clinical depression ,paranephria, schizophrenia also.The presence of hallucination is considered as one of the symptoms of psychopathological condition . Any behaviour which causes impairement, disability and specifically any breakdown of cognitive or neurocognitive systems in brain may also be considered as psychopathological condition.
