Dr. Christine Brezden-Masley achieved all of her training in Toronto. She completed her PhD in Medical Biophysics at the Ontario Cancer Institute, Princess Margaret Hospital and her MD degree subsequently at the University of Toronto. She completed her Medical Oncology training in Toronto including research with the Investigational New Drug Development program. She currently is appointed at the University of Toronto as an Assistant Professor and is a Staff Medical Oncologist at St. Michael′s Hospital where she specializes in treating both Breast and GI Malignancies.
Her research includes studying the molecular pathways in breast and gastric tumorigenesis. She is cross-appointed to the LiKaShing Knowledge Translation Center where she is serves as an oncology specialist for current and future studies. In addition to clinical research, she also has a focus on patient safety and quality improvement as it pertains to cancer delivery at the academic cancer centers at the University of Toronto.
