Assistant Professor, Institute of Biophysics, Department of Applied Experimental Biophysics
Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria

Biography

Dr. Andreas Ebner studied Technical Chemistry and Economics and received his PhD at the Institute of Biophysics at the Johannes Kepler University (JKU). He worked as a scientist for Molecular Imaging (support in development of Topography and Recognition Imaging (TREC)), the Upper Austrian Research (single molecule arrays), and Amersham Biosciences (fluorophore characterisation). In 2013 he received the Houska Award for one of the top 3 innovative projects in Austria. Currently he is group leader at the Institute of Biophysics, Johannes Kepler University, he published > 70 peer reviewed scientific articles, and > 10 scientific book chapters. His key competences are biosensing atomic force microscopy techniques like single molecule force spectroscopy and recognition imaging including surface functionalization techniques.
