Dr. Masunov has received his PhD in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry from The City University of New York during the period of 2000. Currently, he is the Associate Professor, NanoScience Technology Center in University of Central Florida, Orlando. Dr. Masunov is a part of many reputed societies (American Crystallographic Association, American Chemical Society, American Physical Society, Materials Research Society and American NANO Society). He has authored 99 research articles. He is a member of Editorial Board of Nanomaterials & Nanosciences and Editorial Board of Nanomaterials. He has received many awards for the his research and contribution to his field.
His research intersets includes Computational materials, nanoscience, theoretical chemistry, and biophysics. Nonlinear Optical properties (two-photon absorption and second harmonic generation) of organic materials, photophysics, organic photovoltaics, charge transfer in the ground and excited states; Structure, spectra and catalytic properties of semiconducting nanoparticles; Oxygen diffusion in mixed metal oxides; Vibrational spectra and aggregation of peptides; enzymatic reaction mechanisms and molecular magnets.
