Biography

Changqing Zeng earned her PhD at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, US. Currently she is the professor in Beijing Institute of Genomics Chinese Academy of Sciences and an adjunct Professor in Beijing Normal University. She has published over 50 peer reviewed papers and has a teaching experience of more than 20 years. She has served as the co-ordinator of Chinese HapMap Consortium and was a Steering Committee member of the International HapMap Project too. She is a member of the Expert Panel of the Human Genetic Resources Administration of China. She also served as a reviewer of peer-reviewed journals in the area of genomics and HBV research The awards she has received include the CUSBEA scholarship the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Hundred Talents Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Research Interest

Dr. Zeng’s research interests focus on human and HBV genomes. Currently she has several projects including to analyze human genome variations by high throughput sequencing and genotyping, disease gene mapping by association studies, linkage analysis, and exome sequencing, and HBV mutations and the roles of viral mutations in drug resistance and disease progress.
