Biography

Dr. Claudio Di Iaconi is an environmental research scientist at Water Research Institute of the Italian National Research Council Department of Bari, Italy. He has completed his MS degree in Industrial Chemistry at the University La Sapienza of Rome, Italy 1993. Claudio has over 15 years experience in wastewater treatment and in particular in biological processes. In 2005, he received an award from the Italian National Research Council for having achieved excellent and innovative results. In 2010, he received from the European Commission the Best Life Environment Projects award for having developed an innovative technology for wastewater treatment. He is author of more than 70 papers published in peer reviewed journals or presented to scientific conferences, reviewer of more than 15 ISI scientific journals. He was the member of the scientific committee of IWA Biofilm Technologies Conference, Singapore in 2008 and of 4th IWA Sequencing Batch Reactor Technology Conference Rome in 2008.
