Dr. George W YIP is an Assistant Dean and Associate Professor of the Department of Anatomy in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in National University of Singapore.He did his Phd from the University College London and Post-doc training from the Harvard University. He has been awarded with NUS Overseas Graduate Scholarship in 1997-2001, A*STAR International Fellowship in 2002-2003 and Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellowship in 2005.
His long-term research goal is to understand the biological roles of heparan sulphate and other glycosaminoglycans in cancer biology and wound healing, and to develop the use of these molecules as biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
