Jie Li

Biography

Dr. Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and Cell Biology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Jie Li received her MD degree and dermatology residency training at Nanjing Medical University China and her MS degree and dermatopathology training at Peking Union Medical College China. Dr. Li then served as a faculty member for 3 years in the Department of Dermatopathology Institute of Dermatology/Hospital of Dermatology Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences China. Dr. Li obtained her PhD degree in Pathobiology and Molecular Medicine at the University of Cincinnati Dr Li performed her postdoctoral fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School and Stanford Medical School respectively before joining the faculty of University of Miami in October 2000. Dr. Li has established a translational skin research program using molecular and cellular biology approaches to study skin biology and diseases with major focuses on skin cancers and wound healing. Dr. Li is a member of Society for Investigative Dermatology American Association for Cancer Research American Society for Matrix Biology American Society for Cell Biology and the Wound Healing Society and has served as a reviewer for more than 10 journals.
