Upon completion of his degree as a doctor of biological sciences at the University of Milan Italy in 1996. Chiriva Internati held a postdoctoral position in the Myeloma and Transplantation Research Center at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and successive junior faculty positions at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and at the Albany Medical College Albany New York. He frequently serves on national and international study sections and he is an active reviewer for several high impact factor journals such as: the Journal of Immunotherapy the Journal of Immunology Vaccine Leukemia Cancer Research Clinical Cancer Research Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy the Journal of Translational Medicine and Lancet Infection Disease Most notably he is a Senior Editor for the Journal of Translational Medicine and Senior Editor for the International Reviews of Immunology.
