Biography
Dr. Flick received his PhD at the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen, Germany in 1998. Currently, he is working as the Chief Scientific Officer at BioProtection Systems Corporation, a biotechnology company developing countermeasures against bioterror threaths. He has worked in several high-containment biosafety level 4 (BSL-4) laboratories (Sweden, Canada, USA) and was the Director of the BSL-4 laboratory in Galveston, TX before he joined BioProtection Systems Corporation. He has authored more than 40 research articles/reviews/book chapters. He is a member of the American Society of Virology and the American Society of Microbiology.
