Dr. Rana Al Hussainy is senior research associate at the PET center- children’s hospital of Michigan- USA. She has received a PhD in medicinal chemistry and radiopharmaceutical chemistry from the department of nuclear medicine and PET research in VU University Medical Center- Amsterdam in focused on the development of a series of novel (radiolabeled) ligands to visualize 5-HT1A receptor in the brain.She is also a reviewer for numerous journals. Chemistry is the magic word to her. She strongly believes that chemistry is an essential tool when matching molecular imaging with the medical service and research.
Dr. Rana Al Hussainy research interest is radiochemistry, organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry. She also interested and have experience in GPCRs, more precisely in serotonin and dopamine system. And also, AMPA receptors and mTOR.
