Ricardo Ferraz (1979) is Professor at the School of Health Technology Polytechnic Institute of Porto. He graduated in Chemistry in 2002 and received his Master degree in 2006 at the Faculty of Science, University of Porto. He has worked under the Supervision of Paula Gomes devoted to the study of the stereochemistry of imidazolidin-4-one derivatives of primaquine in ring closure. At the moment he is finishing his PhD at the Faculty of Science and Technology, New University of Lisbon under the Supervision of Christina Prudencio, John Paul Noronha and Zeljko Petrovski. His thesis is focused on the development of new ionic liquids the active pharmaceutical ingredients.
His research interests focuses on peptide synthesis, Ionic liquids as active pharmaceutical ingredients, antibiotic resistance & development of new drugs.
