Dr Rohini Karunakaran is currently working as a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine, AIMST University, Malaysia. She is also the Joint Preclinical Coordinator, Faculty of Medicine with administrative responsibilities besides teaching. She has completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry. Though teaching biochemistry is her passion, she holds a Masters in Clinical Microbiology, Bachelors in Education and Post Graduate Diplomas in Forensic Science, Human Rights and Bioinformatics. She has published numerous papers on Biochemistry, Bioinformatics & Nanotechnology. She has authored 5 books and 3 chapters in books. Dr. Rohini is an editorial board member of many international journals and has reviewed numerous articles. She has presented many papers both oral and posters in international conferences in India, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Srilanka. In recognition of the dedication and outstanding contribution in the field of Medical Biochemistry for the promotion of health, Dr Rohini was awarded the “Young Scientist Award” at the “World Congress on Pharmaceutical Sciences & Chemical Technology” organized by the International Society for Nature & Health Care Inc, USA in collaboration with the Industrial Technology Institute, University of Colombo, University of Kelaniya, Srilanka and Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India. Dr. Rohini Karunakaran is also a Fellow member of the Society of Applied Biotechnology and Journal of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry. She is also an active member of many
