Dr. Kasumov has received his PhD in organic chemistry at Moscow State University, Russia during the period of 1990-1993. Currently he is working as a staff member in Departments of Gastroenterology Hepatology and Pathobiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is also an Assistant Professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. He is serving as an Ad Hoc reviewer for highly reputed journals like Journal of Biological Chemistry and Nature Protocols Dr. Kasumov has authored more than fifty research articles He is a member of American Society of Mass Spectrometry and American Society of Nutrition
