Biography

He received his Master of Medicine from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China in 2001, and at the same University he earned his PhD in Physiology in 2006. During his PhD, he received a two-year research scholarship from German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for joint PhD training in German Institute of Human Nutrition (DIfE). After PhD, he continued his postdoctoral training in neuroscience at University of Louisville, USA. Currently he is studying the roles of neurotrophins in taste development, and is also the member of Association for Chemoreception Sciences.

Research Interest

My current research focuses on the roles of neurotrophins in regulating taste bud formation, taste neuron survival and taste targeting during development.
