Biography

YanLin Guo is an Associate Professor of Cell Biology in the Department of Biological Sciences the University of Southern Mississippi. He received his PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996. After completing his postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, he took a Research Assistant Professor position in the Sol Sherry Thrombosis Research Center at Temple University School of Medicine from 1999-2004. He joined the University of Southern Mississippi as an Assistant Professor in 2004. He has served as a peer review study section member vascular endothelial biology for the American Heart Association and a reviewer for ten scientific journals.

Research Interest

His research interests are in the areas of endothelial cell and stem cell biology broadly related to blood vessel formation and stem cellbased tissue engineering.
