Dr. Leary is having more than 36 years in research field. His research has involved quantitative measurements of single cells (as the original inventor of high-speed flow cytometry and rare-event analysis techniques), and over the past 10 years its use in design and characterization of multi-component nanomedical systems and their interactions with cells for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes in cancer. Currently his lab and its collaborators are constructing and using multilayered dual imaging modality nanomedical systems containing superparamagnetic iron oxide cores for MRI contrast agents and also for directed in-vivo concentration of nanoparticles with chitosan natural polymer coatings containing Cy 5.5 fluorescent probes for near infrared invivo imaging and for real-time guided surgery of tumors. New projects include development of new theranostic nanomedical treatments for human ductal breast cancer combining microfluidics, 3D culture techniques and nanomedicine in “breast-on-a-chip” systems. We are also developing new in-situ PCR base nanobarcoding methods for nanotoxicity and biodistribution studies for anti-cancer nanomedical systems.

Stephen J Beebe received a BS in Zoology from Ohio University Athens 1970 and a PhD 1982 in medical sciences pharmacologyand biochemistry from the Medical College of Ohio, Toledo. Dr. Rastogi finished his Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA . He also has a doctoral degree in Pharmacology which he completed under the mentorship of Nobel Laureate Louis Ignarro also at UCLA . Cell and Molecular Immunology. My research interest encompasses the field of lymphocyte biology. A major goal of my research is to understand mechanisms underlying regulation of CD4+ T lymphocyte responses to protein antigens. Focus of research in my laboratory is on a set of glycosylphosphatidyl-inositol (GPI)-anchored proteins housed in membrane rafts. Membrane rafts are 10-200 nanometer size domains on the plasma membrane. These membrane entities are enriched in sphingolipids, cholesterol, GPI-anchored proteins and a variety of other signaling molecules. Membrane rafts have been implicated in spatiotemporal regulation of signaling from the membrane to cell interior. My laboratory has developed methods that will allow us to examine membrane rafts on single-nanodomain basis and investigate their spatial organization during CD4+ T cell activation and differentiation.

Dr. Walsh is Reader (Associate Professor) in Inflammation & Immunity and Principal Investigator, of the Asthmatic & Allergic Inflammation Group, School of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Aberdeen, UK. His group is part of the Immunology Research Programme, within the Division of Applied Medicine that was rated fourth equal in the UK in the 2008 research assessment exercise. Dr Walsh is honorary Professor of Inflammation & Immunity, School of Medicine, Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. His major research interests involve elucidation of the molecular mechanisms controlling the initiation and resolution of the inflammatory processes underlying asthma, COPD and allergic disease. Dr Walsh has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles in international journals together with more than 90 invited editorials, reviews and book chapters.  To date these publications have been cited over 3,800 times; giving an h-index of 33 (source ISI Web of Knowledge). Dr Walsh has been an invited speaker and/or chairman at over fifty international meetings. Dmitri V. Krysko graduated with greatest distinction from Saratov State Medical University in Russia in 1998. Dr. A. Heidari, Ph.D., D.Sc. is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Chemistry. He has got his Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees form California South University (CSU), Irvine, California, USA. Furthermore, he has double postdocs in Project Management and also in Nanochemistry and Molecular Structure Theory. His research interests are Biophysical Chemistry, Nanochemistry, Quantum Chemistry, Biomolecular and Vibrational Spectroscopy, Molecular Modeling and Structure, Theoretical, Computational and Mathematical Chemistry, Ab initio and Density Functional Methods. He has participated at more than fifty reputed international conferences, seminars, congresses, symposiums and forums around the world as yet. Also, he possesses many published articles in Science Citation Index (SCI)/International Scientific Index (ISI) Journals. It should be noted that he has visited many universities or scientific and academic research institutes in different countries such as United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Netherlands, Russia, France, Swiss, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, South Korea, China, etc. as research fellow, sabbatical and volunteer researcher or visitor heretofore. He has a history of several years of teaching for college students and various disciplines and trends in different universities.
