• Dr. Esmat Hegazi is Professor of Entomology at Alexandria University, Egypt.
Dr. Hegazi served as Head of  Entomology Department at Alexandri University from 2002 to 2004.
• Dr. Hegazi held a postdoctoral positions at the University of Gottingen,1981, Germany. Texas A & M University,1995 , U.S.A.and Cardiff University, Wales,1998,  England.
• Dr. Hegazi published 178 scientific articles and 14 textbooks in entomological sciences and several technical reports on desert invertebrates, insect parasitoids and sustainable control of some agricultural pests. Many of his articles have been published in the top-ranking journals.
• Dr. Hegazi accomplished an outstanding contribution to the Science of applied Entomology, development of integrated pest management in Egypt, but also to a crucial enlargement of knowledge, especially in the basic research of host-parasitoid interactions.
• Dr. Hegazi developed innovative biological and biotechnical methods for a sustainable control system for lepidopterous pests in the Egyptian olive groves.

Dr. Sourav Roy is an Assistant Research Entomologist in the department of Entomology at the University of California, Riverside. He completed his PhD in Genetics, Genomics and Bioinformatics from UCR, after receiving his Masters in Bioinformatics from the School of Informatics, Indiana University, Bloomington. He also has a Masters degree in Zoology (track – cytogenetics) from the University of Kalyani, West Bengal, India and a PG Diploma in IT and Management from the All India Management Association. He developed a multidisciplinary approach for identification of Transcription factor binding sites for his doctoral research. He currently works on promoter and expression analyses of differentially regulated genes in the fat body of the female dengue fever mosquito Aedes aegypti.

Dr. Ming Shun Chen is a Director & also a Research Entomologist in Agricultural Research Service at US Department of Agriculture. He is also an Adjunct associate professor of Entomology at Kansas State University.

Dr. Sagili is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Horticulture at Oregon State University. He obtained his PhD in Entomology from Texas A&M University in 2007. He has a bachelors and a Masters degree in Agriculture from A.P. Agricultural University, India. His primary research focus is honey bee health, nutrition and pollination. His research has been published in leading journals such as Behavioral Ecology and Sociobiology, Naturwissenschaften, Journal of Insect Physiology and Journal of Economic Entomology.

Dr. Albert Mulenga is an Assistant Professor in Department of Entomology at Texas A & M University AgriLife Research. Mainly he involves in research and teaching. Currently he is being evaluated for tenure and promotion. From 2001 to 2005 he did Post Doctoral Fellowship in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. His duties were to conduct research on deciphering molecular mechanisms regulating vertical transmission and maintenance of Rickettsia montana in Dermacentor variabilis ticks.

Jingjing Xu received her PhD from China Agricultural University in 2009. Her Specialization is in the area of Genetics, Breeding & Reproduction. She completed a research project along with the Supervisor, Prof. Subba Reddy Palli.

I focus on hormonal regulation on insect development, reproduction and metabolism via some important transcription factors such as nuclear receptor and Methoprene-tolerant (a member in bHLH-PAS family). To better control the pest, as well as take advantage of insect for life of human, like the silk worm. We try to unravel the mechanism on function of pleiotropic hormone like Juvenile hormone, also the interaction, or we can call, cross-talk between hormones such as Juvenile hormone and insulin, juvenile hormone and ecdysone.

Dr. Bidua obtained  Ph.D. from the Buenos Aires University in 1984. My background in Biology is essentially mulltidisciplinary which is the result of my several interests and the interaction with researchers from many parts of the world as well as my visiting professorships in the USA, United Kingdom, Spain, Brazil and Uruguay. Such a holistic approach Derives from my deep conviction as an evolutionary biologist that knowledge of the complex relationships among all aspects of biodiversity is essential to its understanding and preservation. Thus, I have studied different aspects of Biodiversity and it conservation such as the Ecology, Macroecology and Systematics of several animal groups such as Neotropical Insects, Anurans, Mammals, Molluscs and Vascular Plants. I am also interested in the Evolutionary Genetics and Cytogenetics of these groups and also the appliccation of Genetic Techniques to the study of toxicity of folk medicinal plants. In recent years I became interested in the history of Evolutionary Biology.

Dr. Reginaldo Peçanha Brazil was born in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro in 1948, studied Pharmacy and Biochemistry at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro,  completed his studies in Parasitology and Medical Entomology ( PhD) at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in the UK. At the moment he is Senior Researcher of the Instituto Oswaldo Cruz-Fiocruz in Rio de Janeiro with experience in the area of Medical Entomology and Parasitology, acting on the following themes: Biology and Chemical Ecology of Phlebotomine sand flies, Interaction of sand fly/Leishmania. Currently he works on the study of fossil sandflies.

Dr. Peter Waniek studied biology at the Ruhr-University Bochum, Bochum, Germany, and was awarded the Ph.D. degree in digestive physiology of blood-sucking insects by the same university in 2005. From 2006, he was affiliated as a Postdoc and Senior Scientist with the Biology of Trypanosomatids Group, Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) for a period of 4 years conducting research on vector-parasite interaction and molecular characterization of Trypanosoma cruzi. Currently, Dr. Waniek is working on digestion and innate immunity of Triatominae at the Biochemistry and Immunology of Insects Group, Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Dr. Calatayud is a Senior Research Scientist of Research Institute for Development (IRD), a French Institute. A native of France, he has experienced field and laboratory studies in South America at CIAT (Colombia) and Africa at ICIPE (Kenya). Dr. Calatayud is an entomologist with experience in insect-plant interactions (including the third trophic level, the parasitoids) ; insect behaviour and insect/plant chemistry (including volatiles). He has published more than 50 papers in refereed journals, written 4 books and 3 book chapters. Dr. Raja Nagappan was born on February 8, 1967 in Ammapettai village, Erode district, Tamil Nadu India. He has completed M.Sc., M.Phil, B.Ed., and Ph.D. from well known prestigious Universities from India. He is specialized in the field of Entomology. He is having 14 years of exclusive research experience and 8years of teaching and research experience in India and abroad. He has published 74 research articles in various fields of Entomology with special interest on botanicals in insect pest management and vector control program. He has received young scientist award for his research project from Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi. He is having two joint patent right from Department of Science and Technology for the isolation bioactive novel compounds from plants for insect pest management program. He has conducted several on farm training programs to farmers regarding the use of botanical pesticides in insect pest management and identification of pests in the field. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology, University of Gondar, Ethiopia. He is actively doing teaching and research in his field. He taught several courses related to the biological sciences.

He was awarded Ph.D., in Zoology-Entomology from University of Madras, Chennai, India. He is having nine years of research experience including six month teaching experience. He has published 26 papers in the peer reviewed journals in the field of entomology with special reference to biopesticides. He is involved in the Eco-friendly insect pest management by using biopesticides (plant based products, bacteria and fungus). He was involved in providing training to farmers and self help groups of Kancheepuram and Thiruvalluar District of Tamil Nadu in the preparation of botanical insecticides and production of vermicompost for sustainable agriculture. He was also trained farmers to identify the insect pests and natural enemies. He has conducted many awareness camps on the ill effects of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. Presently, he is working as Entomologist at Lab Life Science Intelligentsia, India. He is engaged in evaluating the different household products against cockroach, mosquito, housefly and agricultural pests under field and lab conditions and also evaluating the eco-toxicological effect of the chemicals. He is also serving as Editor and Reviewer in many international journals.

Dr. Samuel Akpan is Nigerian, 46 years of age and holds a Ph.D. Degree in Medical Parasitology. He is a Lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science of University of Calabar, Nigeria. His hobbies include watching Soccer and listening to Music.

Dr. Basile Kamgang is a postdoctoral fellow at the Pasteur Institute of Bangui. He completed his PhD in 2011 on Medical entomology and Parasitology at the University of Yaounde I. During his PhD thesis, his working on biology, genetics and control of mosquito vectors of diseases like dengue and chikungunya. Currently, he leads a research program on biological and genetic characterization of arboviruses vectors in Central African Republic.

Dr. Broufas was trained as an agromonist and continued his postgraduate studies in crop protection (MSc) and agricultural acarology (PhD) in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2003 he was appointed as Lecturer and since 2009 as Assistant Professor in Agricultural Zoology and Entomology at the Department of Agricultural Development, in Democritus University of Thrace. He is Adjunct Professor at the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (since 2012) and Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics in the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands) (2009, 2011, 2012, 2013). He has participated as principal investigator or external research collaborator in more than 40 research projects during the last decade. His work includes more than 30 articles in peer - reviewed journals, 56 papers in congress proceedings, one book chapter and 16 review articles in technical Greek Journals.
