Ergonomics, is the science dealing with the application of information on physical and psychological characteristics to the design of devices and systems for human use. The word "ergonomics" is derived from two Greek words: "ergon," meaning work, and "nomoi," meaning natural laws. Ergonomists study human capabilities in relationship to work demands. It aims to develop the practicality, efficiency, and safety of a person working with a single machine or device (e.g., using a telephone, driving a car, or operating a computer terminal). Journal of Ergonomics (JER) is an open access international journal of OMICS group. It is among the top open access journals in the related field and encompasses the research and review articles about the cutting-edge technologies in the field of ergonomics. This scientific scholarly journal aims to publish the most recent and novel work of ergonomics and its related disciplines. Journal of Ergonomics is an open access journal which means it can be accessed without any subscription or rather members of the scientific community can access it for free. Most of the eminent scientists prefer open access as nowadays huge quantum of research activity and review updates are taking place. JER follows the strict publication policy i.e. a strict peer review process. The articles are published only after the approval of the peer reviewing committee. JER is maintaining quality consistently by publishing articles containing novel work.
