About the Journal

The Journal of immunobiology is an open access journal. Immunology is a branch of biomedical science which deals with an organism’s response towards an invading environmental factor. This process involves a complex interplay of invading particle and defence system of the host organism along with successive cascading molecular mechanism to eliminate the invading agent.

The journal of immunobiology focuses on areas such as Innate Immunity, Adaptive Immunity, Complement Biology, Macrophage and Dendritic Cell Biology, Clinical Experimental Immunology, Cellular & Molecular Immunology, Parasite Immunology, Tumour Immunology, Autoimmunity, Clinical Immunology, Allergy & Immunology, Immunogenetics, Vaccines, Cellular immunology, Clinical & Vaccine ImmunologyInflammatory Disorders , Immune Disorders , Autoimmune Disorders, Immunotherapy and Immunopathology of infectious, allergic and autoimmune disease. The Journal of Immunobiology accepts all types of articles like research, review, case reports, commentaries, hypotheses, meeting reports and short reports

This scientific journal is using Editorial Manager System for maintaining quality in peer review process. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members of Journal of Immunobiology or by outside experts. Minimum two independent reviewers approval followed by editor approval is mandatory for acceptance of any manuscript. Authors may submit manuscripts and track their progress through the system. Reviewers can download manuscripts and submit their opinions to the editor. Editors can manage the whole submission/review/revise/publish process.

Authors are requested to submit their contributions at http://www.editorialmanager.com/virology or as an e-mail attachment to the Editorial Office at editor.jib@omicsinc.com or immunobiology@immunologyjournals.com

Journal of Immunobiology is supporting 4th International Conference and Exhibition on Immunology which is going to be held during September 28-30, 2015, at Houston, Texas, USA. The theme of the conference is “From Basic Immune Understanding to latest Immunology Breakthroughs."

Macrophage Cell Biology

Macrophages was recognised by Metchnikoff that can be found in all tissues, and as a circulating cell called blood monocytes.Phenotypically and functionally tissue macrophages are an extremely heterogeneous group of cells derived from circulating monocytes.HIV infection macrophages is a critically important component of viral pathogenesis and progression to AIDS.

Dendrite Cell Biology

Dendritic cells are antigen presenting cells with a unique ability to induce primary immune response.Dendritic cells are a special type of leukocytes which are able to alter the immune system for the presence of infections.Dendritic cells are derived from bone marrow progenitors and circulate in the blood as immature precursors prior to migration into peripheral tissues.

Parasite Immunology

Parasitic helminths, or worms, comprise a diverse group of metazoan organisms that infect billions of people and domesticated animals .Most of the parasites by the nature of their continuous contact with the immune system, generate a prolific immune response. Many of the parasitic worms have complex multistage lifecycles that involve several hosts.Parasitic worms have the ability to deactivate certain immune system cells.

Immunobiology and Pathology

Interleukin-22 is a recently described IL-10 family cytokine that is produced by T helper 17 TH cells, T cells, NKT cells, and newly described innate lymphoid cells. In addition interleukin -22 regulates host defence at barrier surfaces.Interleukin -22 primarily targets nonhematopoietic epithelial and stromal cells ,where it can promote proliferation and play a role in tissue regeneration.

Complement Biology

The complement system is the part of immune system which helps or complements the ability of antibodies and phagocytic cells to clear pathogens from an organism.Sometimes the interaction of antibodies with antigen is useful by itself. The complement system consists of some 30 proteins circulating in blood plasma.

TAM receptors Immunobiology

The TAM receptor protein tyrosine kinases-TYR03, AXL and MER-have pivotal roles in innate immunity.TAM receptors are fundamental inhibitors of the innate immune responses in sentinel cells of the immune system. The clearance of apoptotic cells is critical for both tissue homeostasis and the resolution of inflammation.

Immunobiology of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases

Inflammatory bowel disease comprises of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, which is a chronic and relapsing remitting inflammatory disorder of the gastrointestinal tract. Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis both are idiopathic inflammatory bowel disorders.

Interleukin Immunobiology

Interleukin-27 it is a cytokine with strikingly diverse influences on the immune response. The association between interleukin -27 and antibody mediated disease have led to the interest in defining the impact of interleukin -27 on innate immunity and humoral responses in different disease states.

Immune system

The immune system is a complex and highly developed biological structures and processes within an organism that protects against disease by identifying and killing invaders. If a person is born with a severely defective immune system, death from infection by virus ,bacterium ,fungus or parasite will occur. Most other immune disorders result from either an excessive immune response or an autoimmune attack.
