Advances in Recycling & Waste Management welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence. Papers will be published approximately one month after acceptance.

A manuscript number will be e-mailed to the corresponding author within 72 hours.

Hilaris SRL Policy Regarding the NIH Mandate

Hilaris SRL will support authors by posting the published version of articles by NIH grant-holders to PubMed Central immediately after publication.

Editorial policies: Advancess in Recycling & Waste Management follows a progressive that encourages researchers to submit the original research, reviews and editorial observations as articles, well supported by tables and graphic representation.

Article Processing Charges (APC) :

Advancess in Recycling & Waste Management is organized by Hilaris SRL, a self supporting organization and does not receive funding from any institution/government. Hence, the operation of the Journal is solely financed by the handling fees received from authors and some academic/corporate sponsors. The handling fees are required to meet maintenance of the journal. Being an Open Access Journal, Advances in Recycling & Waste Management does not receive payment for subscription, as the articles are freely accessible over the internet. Authors of articles are required to pay a fair handling fee after the acceptance for publication. However, there are no submission charges.

The regular processing and publishing charges per an article in the journal is 2319 Euros + 200 Euros as administrative charges.

Average Article processing time (APT) is 45 days

The basic article processing fee or manuscript handling cost is as the price mentioned above on the other hand it may vary based on the extensive editing, coloured effects, comolex equation, extra elogation of the number of pages of the article, etc.

Submission of an Article

In order to reduce delays, authors should assure that the level, length and format of a manuscript submission conform to Hilaris SRL's requirements at the submission and each revision stage. Submitted articles should have a summary/abstract, separate from the main text, of up to 300 words. This summary does not include references, numbers, abbreviations or measurements unless essential. The summary should provide a basic-level introduction to the field; a brief account of the background and principle of the work; a statement of the main conclusions; and 2-3 sentences that place the main findings into a general context. The text may contain a few short subheadings of not more than 40 characters each.

Hilaris SRL is using Online Review and Editorial Tracking Systems for quality review process. Editorial Tracking System is an online submission and review system, where authors can submit manuscripts and track their progress. Reviewers can download manuscripts and submit their opinions. Editors can manage the whole submission/review/revise/publish process. Publishers can see what manuscripts are in the pipeline awaiting publication. E-mail is sent automatically to concerned persons when significant events occur.

References:

Only published or accepted manuscripts should be included in the reference list. Meetings abstracts, conference talks, or papers that have been submitted but not yet accepted should not be cited. All personal communications should be supported by a letter from the relevant authors.

Hilaris SRL uses the numbered citation (citation-sequence) method. References are listed and numbered in the order that they appear in the text. In the text, citations should be indicated by the reference number in brackets. Multiple citations within a single set of brackets should be separated by commas. When there are three or more sequential citations, they should be given as a range. Example: "... now enable biologists to simultaneously monitor the expression of thousands of genes in a single experiment [1,5-7,28]". Make sure the parts of the manuscript are in the correct order for the relevant journal before ordering the citations. Figure captions and tables should be at the end of the manuscript.

Authors are requested to provide at least one online link for each reference as following (preferably PubMed).

Because all references will be linked electronically as much as possible to the papers they cite, proper formatting of the references is crucial. Please use the following style for the reference list:

Tables:

Tables should be designed as simple as possible. We strongly encourage authors to submit tables as .doc format. Tables are to be typed double-spaced throughout, including headings and footnotes. Each table should be on a separate page, numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and provided with a heading or a legend. Tables should be self-explanatory without reference to the text. Preferably, the details of the methods used in the experiments should be described in the legend instead of the text. The same data should be neither represented as graph nor repeated in the text. Cells can be copied from an Excel spreadsheet and pasted into a word document, but Excel files should not be embedded as objects.

Note: If the submission is in PDF format, the author is requested to retain the same in .doc format in order to aid in completion of process successfully.

Figures:

The preferred file formats for photographic images are .doc, TIFF and JPEG. If you have created images with separate components on different layers, please send us the Photoshop files.

All images must be at or above intended display size, with the following image resolutions: Line Art 800 dpi, Combination (Line Art + Halftone) 600 dpi, Halftone 300 dpi. See the Image quality specifications chart for details. Image files also must be cropped as close to the actual image possible.

Use Arabic numerals to designate figures and upper case letters for their parts (Figure 1). Begin each legend with a title and include sufficient description so that the figure is understandable without reading the text of the manuscript. Information given in legends should not be repeated in the text.

Figures and Tables Format:

  • Heading: Should be in Sentence case, Times New Roman, 10pt, Bold, alignment should be justified.
  • Content: Should be in Sentence case, Times New Roman, 10pt, Normal, alignment should be justified.
  • All legends should end with a full stop.
  • All Figures & Tables should be cited in body text in chronical order and they should follow Title case only.
  • It is not mandatory to maintain the order of sub figures & sub tables in the body text, however, citations should be maintained in the body text as Figure 1a, Table 3b, etc.
  • In case of using any abbreviations in the legends, they must be mentioned in the abbreviations section.
  • Figure & Table foot notes must not end with a full stop.
  • Space should not be given after representative characters such as alphabets, numbers and asterisks etc. in Figure & Table foot notes. Representation of such characters should be in superscript only.
  • If two figures or tables are cited simultaneously in the body text, then they must be cited as “Figure 1 and 2”, “Table 1 and 2”, “Figure 1 and Table 1”, etc.

Tables and Equations as Graphics:

If equations cannot be encoded in MathML, submit them in TIFF or EPS format as discrete files (i.e., a file containing only the data for one equation). Only when tables cannot be encoded as XML/SGML can they be submitted as graphics. If this method is used, it is critical that the font size in all equations and tables is consistent and legible throughout all submissions.

  • Suggested Equation Extraction Method
  • Table Specifications
  • Equation Specifications

Supplementary Information:

Discrete items of the Supplementary Information (for example, figures, tables) referred to at an appropriate point in the main text of the paper.

Summary diagram/figure included as part of the Supplementary Information (optional).

All Supplementary Information is supplied as a single PDF file, where possible. File size within the permitted limits for Supplementary Information. Images should be a maximum size of 640 x 480 pixels (9 x 6.8 inches at 72 pixels per inch).

Proofs and Reprints:

Electronic proofs will be sent as an e-mail attachment to the corresponding author as a PDF file. Page proofs are considered to be the final version of the manuscript. With the exception of typographical or minor clerical errors, no changes will be made in the manuscript at the proof stage. Authors will have free electronic access to the full text (HTML, PDF and XML) of the article. Authors can freely download the PDF file from which they can print unlimited copies of their articles.
