Newborns have immature immune system so they are more susceptible to infections and even they cannot easily respond to vaccines. Hepatitis B vaccine demonstrate to safety and efficacy to newborns. So effective vaccination at birth should be provided. Vaccines given at birth are Bacillus calmette-Guerin, Hepatitis B vaccine, Oral polio vaccine, pertussis vaccine.
