Argentina is known as federal republic country. It is situated in the southeastern South America. Sharing the bulk of the Southern Cone with its neighbour Chile, it is bordered by Bolivia and Paraguay to the north; Brazil to the northeast; Uruguay and the South Atlantic Ocean to the east; Chile to the west and the Drake Passage to the south. With a mainland area of 2,780,400 km2 (1,073,500 sq mi),[B] Argentina is the eighth-largest country in the world, the second-largest in Latin America, and the largest Spanish-speaking one. Argentina claims sovereignty over part of Antarctica, the Falkland Islands (Spanish: Islas Malvinas), South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

The geography of Argentina describes the geographic features of Argentina, a country located in southern South America (or Southern Cone).Bordered by the Andes in the west and the South Atlantic Ocean to the east, neighboring countries are Chile to the west, Bolivia and Paraguay to the north, and Brazil and Uruguay to the northeast. In terms of area, Argentina is the second largest country of South America after Brazil, and the 8th largest country in the world. Its total area is approximately 2.7 million km². Argentina claims a section of Antarctica (Argentine Antarctica) but has agreed to suspend sovereignty disputes in the region as a signatory to the Antarctic Treaty. Argentina also asserts claims to several South Atlantic islands administered by the United Kingdom.

The economy of Argentina is a high-income economy, Latin America's third largest and the second largest in South America behind Brazil. The country benefits from rich natural resources, a highly literate population, an export-oriented agricultural sector, and a diversified industrial base. Argentina's economic performance has historically been very uneven, in which high economic growth alternated with severe recessions, particularly during the late twentieth century, and income maldistribution and poverty increased. Early in the twentieth century Argentina had one of the highest per capita GDP levels in the world and the third largest economy in the developing world. Today a high-income economy, Argentina maintains a relatively high quality of life and GDP per capita.

Argentina is fully developed country in the entire field. Especially in the physics, the current research is going on. The current research  topic are fundmental physics like Molybdenum disulfide holds promise for light absorption, classical physics, Quantum mechanics, ray optics, wave optics and modern physics.

Most people think of physics as the field of science that explores the most fundamental aspects of nature either at the very smallest distances or at cosmological scales. While it is true that many physicists address these fundamental problems, others work on a broad spectrum of fundamental questions having to do with behavior of materials at extremes of temperature and pressure, they explore new classes of materials, they work on atomic gases, molecules and their collisions with each other and with surfaces. Physicists also explore the earth in geophysics, the atmosphere in atmospheric physics and certainly the cosmos in astrophysics and cosmology. They are interested in finding new generalities in complex systems of which some of the best examples are in biophysics. Physicists use their understanding of nature to create new devices and applications such as MRI imaging.
