Abstract :

Rosalia alpina and Lucanus cervus are highly endangered species in most part of Europe and are protected by the EU Habitats Directive, Annex II and IV. For most part of the Balkan Peninsula there are only few recorded data for Lucanus cervus and most of them are registered before 1970s. Distributional data for Rosalia alpina are also scarce for most part of the Southeastern Europe. In this paper we give new records of Lucanus cervus and Rosalia alpina from the Balkan Peninsula, more precisely from the Republic of Kosovo. Lucanus cervus was found in Shkugz Protected Landscape and Grmia Natural Park and has well established populations. Rosalia alpina was found in lowlands nearby the Lepenc River in limited number of individuals inside the Sharr Mountain National Park. New records of Pseudorcadion pedestre from Sharr Mountain National Park are given as well. First preliminary check list of Cerambycidae from the Republic of Kosovo is given.
