Currently, she is working as a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy at the University of South Australia, and is a member of the universities Sansom Research Institute. Her research has included identification of genetic susceptibility factors in MS, and pharmacogenomics of treatment response to interferon-β (IFN- β) in these patients. She has also investigated genetic susceptibility factors involved in other autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Since her appointment at UniSA she has initiated a genomewide association study (GWAS) to examine the pharmacogenomics of IFN- β. She is serving as an expert reviewer for journals like Journal of Pharmacogenomics & Pharmacoproteomics, BMC Medical Genetics, and Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology.
