Autologous bone marrow transplant has negligible risks. They mostly include muscle pain and nausea. Allogeneic transplant poses considerable risk to the health of the patient. They include Immune rejection of donor cells by recipient (host vs graft effect) and Immune reaction by donor cells against recipient cells (graft vs host disease - GVHD) The symptoms of GVHD include rashes, blistering, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, jaundice, dryness of mouth, throat, lungs, vagina and other surfaces.
