Rain Forest

Rain forests are named after their feature of observing high rainfall through out the year both in the tropical as well as temperate regions. Rain forests belong to the tropical wet climate group. Their temperature rarely gets higher than 93 °F (34 °C) or drops below 68 °F (20 °C). There is usually a brief season of less rain. Almost all rain forests lie near the equator. There are different kinds of trees than any other area in the world. There are four very distinct layers of trees in a tropical rain forest and are identified as the emergent, upper canopy, understory, and forest floor.
