Typhoid fever

Typhoid fever is a symptomatic bacterial infection caused due to the organism Salmonella typhi. Symptoms may vary as often there is a gradual onset of high fever for several days. Some people develop a skin rash with colored spots. Some people may carry the bacteria without being affected but still are able to spread the disease to others.
