Biography :

Dr. Depeng Jiang is an assistant professor in the department of Community Health Sciences of University of Manitoba and presently serving as a director of Biostatistical Consulting Unit. He is also adjunct professor with Dalla Lana School of Public Health of University of Toronto and with Department of Psychology of York University. Dr. Jiang had many years of experience in providing statistical consulting to a broad range of clients and training students and researchers on the conduct of statistical analyses. The thrust element of his research is being innovative and conducting research that has high broader impact in quantitative methods for medical science and public health. His main research interests include longitudinal analysis and multilevel models, person-centered statistical approaches (latent class analysis and growth mixture models), structural equation models, clinical trial design and evaluation. He is teaching biostatistics courses in the Departments Graduate Program.

Dr Chandrashekhar T Sreeramareddy received his MBBS 1999 and MD 2003 degree in community medicine from Kasturba Medical College Manipal He received prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarships from European commission to pursue Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Public health in Charite University Berlin and Masters in International Health from TropEd Network for international health He is also a recipient of DGDC scholarship from Belgium for a short course clinical epidemiology and evidencebased medicine Erasmus Mundus visiting scholarship 2010 and several travel grants to present scientific papers at scientific meetings He has about 10 years of teaching experience for undergraduate students in India Nepal and Malaysia He has published 25 research papers about several public health issues Of these 14 are as first author and in reputed academic scientific journals and also is a reviewer for several public health journals He is currently working as associate professor in Malaysia

Dr. Neeraj completed MBBS and MD in Community Medicine from G.R.Medical College , Gwalior, India. He worked as Assistant Professor in the same Department and Institution. Apart from that he has also been adorned with PG Diploma in NGO Management by Madauri Kamraj University. He worked thoroughly during his post graduation and involved in various sort of research projects, epidemiological surveys, trainings, workshops, conferences, seminars etc. He has also published and presented many research papers included in national and international database. His career interest to become an exemplary researcher, epidemiologist and health manager in bid to play my role for the advancement of health of poor and needy.

Dr. Redhwan Ahmed Al-Naggar obtained his PhD in community Medicine specialized in Epidemiology from the National University of Malaysia, Malaysia. He is working in as associate professor of Community Medicine in International Medical School, Management and Science and University (MSU), Shah Alam, Malaysia. He has published more than 50 papers in refereed journals in more than a dozen journals, produced 15 conference papers including international, national and local conferences. Reviewer of local journals and international impact factor journal such as Asia Pacific journal of public Health, Asia Pacific Journal of Cancer prevention, Malaysian Journal of Medical Science, Journal of Peace, Gender and development studies, International research Journal of biochemistry and bioinformatics, Journal of immigrant and minority health, and BMC . In 2010 he was the winner of the best research Award in the Management and Science University, Malaysia which gives to the scientist who have mad outstanding contribution to the field of quantitative and qualitative research.

Dr Zakia Hossain is a health sociologist, demographer and health policy analyst. She has extensive experience in teaching in the areas of health sociology, research methods and statistics for last 22 years. She has experience in teaching cross-discipline units of study and taught students across professional discipline of the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Sydney. Her teaching focuses on health inequalities, social and cultural context of health, health systems, health policy, sociology of ageing, an international health. Currently she teaches health care systems, globalisation, health policy, international health. Also she teaches both quantitative and qualitative research methods at UG and PG levels. Dr Hossain’s primary research focus is in health sociology, demography and international health. She has lead research in women’s health, in particular reproductive health, breast cancer, anomie, health issues in developing countries and cultural issues in ageing. Dr Hossain has extensive experience in international collaborative research projects and have collaborated on invitation with researchers from Brisbane (Australia), China (Shanghai), Johor Bahru (Malaysia), Cebu City (Philippines) and Dhaka (Bangladesh) on Asia Pacific Anomie research project. Dr Hossain is the Principal investigator of another international collaborative research project titled Breast cancer in developing countries and currently working on the Bangladesh Breast cancer awareness Project (BBCAP). The outcome of the BBCAP was presented at the Global Health Conference held in Washington DC in June 2011. She is also working as a Chief Investigator of the titled Teenage pregnancy and impact of social networking project, with a multidisciplinary team from the University of Sydney, and Family planning NSW and Tasmania, in Australia.

Prof KK Kafle has received his MBBS, MD in Tribhuvan University. Dr. MM Pandey is working in Pharmacognosy & Ethnopharmacology Division at CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow, India. His main contribution is in development of Quality control parameters of crude drugs/products, medicinal plant survey, bioprospecting and natural product development. He has developed quality control parameters of many single crude drugs and also quality parameters of Ayurvedic formulations. He has published many original research papers and filed and granted patents. He is a Research Fellow and he has been invited for delivering many lectures on his research area in different seminars.

Dr. Suraj Singh Senjam (MBBS, MD Community Medicine) is currently working as faculty in Community Ophthalmology Department, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS New Delhi. He has received Ford Foundation Indian Association Social Preventive Medicine (IASPM) Epidemiological Research Grant in 2008 at Puduchery IASPM National Conference and also received an award on scientific poster presentation at Asia-ARVO 2014, New Delhi. He has teaching experienced in various public health subjects viz. epidemiology, epidemiology of ocular diseases, Research methodology, Health management, Biostatistics, Health Promotion, Preventive ophthalmology, Primary eye health, Public health problems pertaining to eye health. He is reviewer of the BMC public Health, Journal of Medical Society, Indian Journal of Community Health. He has chaired few national and international ophthalmological conferences inclusive of community ophthalmology and also delivered many invited lecture in the context of community eye health. Dr. Suraj Singh Senjam has very keen interest in community based research related to public health problems. He is a supervisor for many National wide ocular health surveys. Dr. Suraj Singh Senjam is currently Principal investigator/Co Principal Investigator/co-investigators of eight research/services based project including AIIMS intramural and Christoffel Blind Mission funded projects and co-guide of two PhD students in Community ophthalmology.
