Dr Kate Barnes received her PhD in Forensic Science, entitled, Molecular and Biochemical Ecology of European Arthropods Found on Corpses from the University of Lincoln in 2009. Currently, she is working as a Lecturer in Forensic Biology at the University of Derby. She is a member of the European Association for Forensic Entomology, the Royal Entomological Society, the Society for General Microbiology, the Society for Experimental Biology and the British Ecological Society. She is a reviewer for the Journal of Microbiological Methods and Immunology and Medical Microbiology.

He has received a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH in 2003-2009. He has completed his M.S in Computer Science in Nankai University, Tianjin, China (2002). Harvey Jian-Min Hou is the associate professor in the Department of Physical Sciences at the Alabama State University. He received his PhD in Chemistry from Peking University in China and conducted his postdoctoral training at the Rockefeller University. He has been working on structure and function relationship of membrane proteins including photosynthetic reaction centers and G protein-coupled receptors using molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysical techniques for over 19 years. He has 60+ publications including 17 review articles and 39 peer-reviewed papers.

Dr. Amarnath Mishra is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Forensic Medicine of Tribhuvan University, National Medical College, Nepal. He received his M.Sc. (2008) in Forensic Science with specialization in DNA Forensic and Toxicology from A.A.I.-D.U., Allahabad, India in collaboration with Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Hyderabad, India. He received his M.Phil. (2009) with specialization in DNA Forensic and Toxicology from Vinayaka Missions University, Salem, Tamilnadu, India. He received his Ph.D. (2015) in Forensic Science with specialization in Forensic Toxicology from S.H.I.A.T.S.-D.U., Allahabad in collaboration with Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Chandigarh, India. He has published more than 12 research articles in reputed peer-review national and international journals. He has participated in various oral and poster presentation during national and international seminars and conferences. He has serving as editor, guest editor, reviewer and editorial board member in various national and international journals of concerned subjects and specialization.

Dr. Mehta received his MD degree in India and PhD in Sweden, and completed his post-graduate education in New York and Minnesota. He joined the faculty of the college of medicine of the University of Florida where he rose to be University Research Foundation professor.He moved to Little Rock in 2000 as the first Stebbins Chair in Cardiology and Professor of Medicine and Physiology and Biophysics to lead the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at UAMS and VA hospitals with over 100 physicians, graduate and post-graduate students and staff. Dr. Mehta serves on the editorial board of several major cardiology, physiology and pharmacology journals, including Circulation, Hypertension, American Journal of Cardiology, European Heart Journal, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and the World Journal of Cardiology.  He has published over 1000 papers, abstracts and book chapters.  He is a member of many prestigious academic societies, including the Association of American Physicians, American Society for Clinical Investigation and Association of University Cardiologists

Oliver Grundmann is Assistant Professor in Department of Medicinal Chemistry, University of Florida USA. He received his Master of Science (MS) in Forensic Toxicology with Minor in Statistics, University of Florida, US and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences,University of Florida, US. His Dissertation title: Anxiolytic activity of Apocynum venetum L. and its proposed Mechanisms of Action. He received Poster award recipient of the American Society of Pharmacognosy in 2007.

Biography :

Dr. Yalcin Buyuk was born in 1969 in Malatya, Turkey. After graduation from University of Istanbul, Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty, he started to work as general practitioner for one year. He was certified as specialist of family medicine in 2001 and specialist of Forensic Medicine in 2003. He worked at Mortuary Department of Council of Forensic Medicine, Istanbul, Turkey between 2003 and 2010. His works of interest are forensic autopsy, disaster victims’ identification, forensic osteology. He is currently working as deputy director of Council of Forensic Medicine and is responsible for Education, Training and Accreaditation issues.

SK Gupta is working as Scientist – C (Senior Lecturer) in the Department of Animal Ecology and Conservation Biology at Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun, India. He is also handling the DNA forensic research in Wildlife Forensic Cell at WII. He has been involved in research in the area of conservation genetics and forensics since 2002. His research interests are evolutionary genetics and identifying genetic factors that increase the threat for survival of an endangered animal population. He is working on development of molecular techniques for the conservation of rare and endangered species, and wildlife forensics. He is also involved in teaching and training courses on the wildlife forensics, conservation and evolutionary genetics at WII and other institutes.
