Biography :

Dr. Victor Andreev is an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences University of Miami, USA. He earned his PhD at the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Russia and his Doctor of Sciences degree at the Russian Academy of Sciences. He has published 55 peer reviewed papers and is an author of 3 book chapters. Dr. Andreev has more than 20 years of teaching experience. He served as a member of the editorial board of Talanta. The International Journal of Pure and Applied Analytical Chemistry 2001, 2005 and of Nauchnoe Priborostroenie Scientific Instrumentation, Russia, 1995 to 2001. He is an Ad hoc reviewer for several peer reviewed journals including: Journal of Proteome Research. The Pharmacogenomics Journal Molecular Psychiatry Analytical Chemistry Talanta and Electrophoresis. He is a member of American Society for Mass Spectrometry since 2001. Dr. Andreev received many awards including: Giessen Memorial Award in Advanced Research, Northeastern University, Boston, 2002; Fellowship of Cariplo Foundation Landau Network Centro Volta, Italy, 2001; Honorary Award of the Russian Academy of Sciences Moscow, 1999; Joliot Professorship Fellowship Ecole Superieure de Physique et de Chimie Paris ,France, 1998; J William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship USIA, Washington, DC, USA, 1995.

Yurong Lai, Ph.D. Sr. Principal Scientist, Pfizer Global Research & Development, Groton Laboratories, Pfizer Inc. Dr. Lai received his M.D from Fujian Medical University in China and his Ph.D. (Toxicology) from Sapporo Medical University in Japan in 1998. From 1998 to 2001, he was a research fellow of Japanese Society for Promotion (JSPS) in Department of Physiopathology, Graduate School of Medicine of Hokkaido University, followed by a position as Research Associate in Department of Pharmaceutics, University of Washington. In 2004, he moved to PDM, PGRD St. Louis and then Groton in 2010, Pfizer Inc. and has been serving as a PDM representative (PI) for preclinical project, postdoc supervisor and discipline leader for drug transporter. Research interests of Dr. Lai and his group include: 1) Discovery and development of drug candidates for the treatment of inflammation and pain. 2) Drug transporter related ADME/Tox, in particular hepatobiliary transporters. Current research projects involve absolute differences of hepatobiliary transporters across species, structure-activity relationship and the evaluation of in vitro/in vivo models to scale up human PK prediction. Dr. Lai is a patent inventor and the author of over 70 research papers/book chapters.
