Boris Kurganov, was born in Lomonosov town on 27th June 1938.He is living in Moscow from 1943. During 1955-1960. He was a student of the chemical faculty of the Moscow State University and graduated from the University with a red diploma. From 1960 to 1964. Hestudied for Ph.D at the Moscow State University. From 1964. He was a Junior Research Associate in N.N. Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics of USSR Academy of Sciences. From 1968 to 1988 He worked in the Scientific-Industrial Association "Vitaminy"of Ministry of Medical Industry. In 1984 He was awarded the USSR State Prize in the field “Chemical basis of biological catalysis”. From 1989. He is working in Bach Institute of Biochemistry of Russian Academy of Sciences where I am a Head of Laboratory of Enzyme Systems. He is a member of Editorial Boards of “Biochemistry (Moscow)”, “Applied Biochemistry and Microbiology” and Medline.Ru.

Dr. Chung received Ph.D at Baylor College of Medicine. He characterized biochemical properties of the novel adenovirus oncoprotein, E4-ORF1. Dr. Chung moved to Wisconsin, where he did his postdoctoral training at McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research, University of Wisconsin. He determined a molecular mechanism by which estrogen cooperates with human papillomavirus (HPV) oncogenes to promote cervical cancer. He also identified hormonal drugs that are efficient in treating cervical cancer using HPV transgenic mouse model. Chung’s lab is interested in further defining mechanisms by which hormone receptors modulate cervical carcinogenesis and HPV gene expression.

Dr. Hengye Man received his MD from Taishan Medical College in 1986 and Ph.D. from Toronto University in 2001.  He then worked at the Department of Neuroscience, Johns Hopkins University as a postdoctoral fellow until he was recruited by Boston University Biology Department as an Assistant Professor in 2005. Dr. Man’s research focuses on the regulation of glutamate receptor trafficking and turnover, and its role in synaptic plasticity including long-term potentiation and depression, as well as homeostatic synaptic regulation. He also investigates axon growth and neuronal polarization.  He has authored and co-authors primary research articles in journals including Nature, Science, Cell, Neuron, J Neuroscience and PNAS.      

I have received my PhD   in  pharmacology from the  University  of Montreal in 2002 .  Currently,  I am  working as Assoicate Professor in the department of biochemistry and molecular genetics at the American University of Beirut. I am responsible of the molecular core facility at the faculty of medicine since 2002, and member of both the Research committee at the faculty as well as the IRB. I am currently serving  as an editorial member of the Open Journal of Genetics.  I have authored more than 30 research articles/books.

Ed Lai obtained his Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Florida (U.S.A.) in 1982. He is a Full Professor at Carleton University (since 1999) who has accumulated 29 years of research experience and knowledge in bioorganic and environmental analytical chemistry. He is a fellow of the Chemical Institute of Canada (since 2004), has published 102 scientific papers, and presented over 110 talks/posters at conferences. His research interests are instrumental analysis of biochemical and environmental samples, using new photochemical, electrochemical, chromatographic and electrophoretic techniques to develop new analytical methods for enhanced sensitivity and selectivity. He has a wealth of experience in synthesizing highly functional molecularly imprinted
polymers (MIPs) for specific recognition of pharmaceuticals, mycotoxins, and endocrine disrupting compounds. He also teaches electronic instrumentation and automation at the graduate level.

Dr. M. Salman Khan have received my Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, INDIA in Dec’2008.  Currently i am working as Assistant Professor, Deptt of Biotechnology in Integral University. I am serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like International Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis and Journal of Bioscience and Medicine. I has authored more than seven research articles in international journals and currently also worked as a reviewer of several international journals.

Dr. Jun Ling has received his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 1994 from “Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences”.    Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor at the Commonwealth Medical College, PA. He serves the duty on several administrative committees, including curriculum development, graduate student advisory and MD student application at the College. He served as an ad hoc reviewer for several journals, like “J. Biol. Chem.” and “Mol. Cell Biol.”. He is serving as a panel reviewer on “Bankhead-Coley Cancer Research Program, Florida Department of Health”. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters. He is a member of “American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB)” and “American Heart Association”. Dr. Ling has been honoured by the “Certificate of Recognition for Research and Scholarly contribution to TCMC” in 2009.

 

During the PhD with Prof. Michael Wegner in Erlangen (D), I studied the function of the transcription factor Sox8 in mouse development. From there, I went on to study the role of metabolism in skeletal patterning in Prof. Cheryll Tickle’s lab in Dundee (UK); in particular, I investigated ER-resident cytochrome P450 enzymes in the mouse. Driven by the hypothesis that there would be a link between P450s and secretion, I joined Prof. David Stephens’ lab in Bristol to expand my knowledge in the cell biology and biochemistry of ER-to-Golgi traffic. The experience in electron microscopy gained there has now led me to the University of Utrecht (NL) where I am working on the ultrastructural aspects of secondary modification and secretion of therapeutic proteins in the group of Prof. Dirk Bosch. Acquired data along the way have led to various publications and conference talks.

Dr. Xiaoqing He has received her PhD in Peking Union medical college, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.  Currently, she is working as a project leader in National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, the Centre of Disease Control, and as an adjunct assistant professor in University of West Virginia, School of Pharmacy.  She has published 26 peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals and 8 book chapters and many meeting proceedings. She is a member of Society of Toxicology. She has received several awards or honours from scientific society, includes Alice Hamilton Award from National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, and Top Reviewer Award from Elsevier publisher
