Dr. Qian received her M.D. from Shanghai Second Medical University and completed her Internal Medicine and Nephrology training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in June 1999. She was recruited to Mayo Clinic in July 1999.  Dr. Qian is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Physiology at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, a faculty nephrologist at Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology and hypertension Mayo Clinic Rochester, and a faculty member of Mayo Graduate School.  She heads the Mayo Clinic Acid-base Electrolyte Interest Group and Acid-base Electrolyte Subspecialty Clinic. Dr. Qian is a Top Educator named by medical trainees at Mayo Clinic. Her clinical and research interests are in renal physiology, hereditary renal diseases including polycystic kidney diseases and renal tubular disorders. She serves as an editorial member for a number of journals and has authored over 35 full-length research and clinical papers and multiple book chapters.

Dr. JianKang Chen received his M.D. from Dali University Medical College in 1987 and became a faculty member of his alma mater, Dali Medical College where he was teaching Pathology to the medical students and also serving as a Clinical Pathologist. He then developed a strong interest in kidney research; this led to his graduation from the Graduate School of Medical Sciences of Beijing Medical University BMU in 1995 BMU was renamed Peking University Health Science Center in 2000. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Dr. Chen was trained in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at Vanderbilt University Mentor: Prof. Raymond C. Harris and the Nephrology Division at University of Ottawa Mentor: Prof. Kevin D. Burn.

Yoshiyuki Morishita MD PhD is an assistant professor of Division of Nephrology Department of Medicine at Jichi Medical University Japan His basic research interests are the role of immunecells in the kidney disease and the gene delivery to kidney as therapeutic setting His clinical research interest is the role of renninangiotensinaldosteron system in kidney disease.

Dr. Lentine received her MD degree from Stanford University, and also completed an Internal Medicine residency, Nephrology fellowship, and master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology at Stanford.  Upon moving to St. Louis, Dr. Lentine pursued an additional fellowship year focused in kidney transplant epidemiology and outcomes at Washington University.  Her training in transplant outcomes research was funded by the National Institutes of Health and the American Kidney Fund. Dr. Lentine is currently a tenured Associate Professor at Saint Louis University with appointments to the Center for Outcomes Research and the Division of Nephrology.

Hassan Dihazi is the head of the proteomics group in Department of Nephrology & Rheumatology, in Medical Center at the Georg-August University Goettingen, Germany. He earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry, at biochemistry Institute, Medical Faculty, at University of Leipzig. Currently, he is the head of the clinical proteomics laboratories, and Assoc. Professor in the University Medical Center at the Georg-August University Goettingen. He has published over 40 papers in the field of proteomics. Reviewed papers, and he was author of several book chapters. He has been teaching experience of more than 13 years. He reserved in 2008 The American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) award for "Outstanding Contribution" for the best work published in 2007 in the International Journal “Clinical Chemistry. He served as a reviewer of peer-reviewed journals in the area of cell biology and proteomics. He organized several conferences and as a member and cofounded of the GoProFo, he is involved in the organization of the annual congress of this forum. During last year he established a clinical proteomics research group. He is since 1999 an active member of Association of Biochemistry and Molecular biology (GBM) and since 2003 member of German Proteome Research association (DGPF). He is since 2005 Member of the optimisation committee for Human Kidney and Urine Proteome Project (HKUPP) a HUPO initiative, since 2007 member of the managing committee of the European  Kidney and Urine Proteomics (EuroKup). He received many awards like EDTA-ERA award for Jung investigator in 2005 and 2006. He is serving as an editorial member of three journals and is editor in chief of one journal.

From 1985-1990, I was trained as a medical student in Department of Medicine of Nanfang Medical University. After graduation, I was accepted by Zhujiang Hospital (a teaching hospital affiliated to Nanfang Medical University) in Guangzhou, to begin my medical career. First as a Resident & TA and then Attending Doctor & Lecturer, I mainly worked in Department of Nephrology. Apart from clinical routine, we also engaged in teaching and research responsibilities of clinical medicine. I spent ten years in Zhujiang Hospital till 2000, and then joined in a high-tech company of medical instruments to be a consultant. In 2004 I return to the realm of medicine and have since been working as a Nephrologist in the Department of Nephrology of Nanshan Hospital of Guangdong Medical College. In 2007, I was appointed Associate Chief Doctor (Associate Professor equivalent). In recent years, my research works largely focus on the abnormality of iron metabolism and management of renal anemia in chronic kidney disease.
